The event was founded in 2002 as a meet-up of a handful of car clubs organized by “The X-Man” and has grown to a display of hundreds of vehicles including lowriders, bikes, motorcycles, trucks and customs. The free event also has live music from local talent, a Red Cross Blood Mobile for blood donations, “Be the Match” national bone-marrow registry and activities for children. There are around 900 men alive today in the Northern Territory, who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. (since records began) Sadly, statistically, we in the NT have one of the highest mortality rates in Australia.

The cruise includes a dinner, cash bar, raffle and updates from researchers and staff at the University of Minnesota. With your support, MKCCR has raised over $1 million since its inception, funding 14 major research projects. Xavier The X-Man’s Cruise for the Cause, the family-friendly car show hosted by Magic 92.5 DJ Xavier The X-Man, will return for its 21st year Sunday at the Otay Ranch Town Center in Chula Vista. This event, held on the Avalon, of the Stillwater Riverboats, allows interactions in an outdoor environment as well as indoor spaces in case of rain. Our two and a half hour voyage along the beautiful St. Croix River is a fun, relaxing way to spend the evening while raising money for a good cause.

We will have honorary judges from the community granting recognition awards in different “fun” categories (i.e. CC with most participants, furthest distance traveled to participate). Neve has been traveling the country attending Ford and Mustang events for more than a decade now. Many more details are to come as this Very Special DARK HORSE Mustang gets ready for SEMA. I’m as excited as ever for our community to come together at Otay Ranch Town Center in Chula Vista and help the children who need it most. Then life happened when Dan's mother and wife were diagnosed with breast cancer about one month apart. It was as if the Ford has a better Idea light bulb went on and he knew that he had to do something. So early in 2010 while his wife was going through surgerys, Dan purchased his Mustang Shelby GT 500 and decided to use it to help make a difference and raise awareness.
